The JazzRecordScene is now in its 3rd full year of offering quality collectable and listenable jazz music LPs on the internet. We've been selling jazz LP records since 1973, and well over 150,000 jazz records have been shipped out to our appreciative collectors.
Our involvement with jazz began over 50 years ago, and we've been first a fan, a label owner, a jazz writer, and still a jazz radio show host, and a friend to to the music and the musicians.
Our friendship with the many generations of jazz fans from
then to now, has been one of good fortune for all those who have gained musical knowledge and enjoyed the great amusement provided by record collecting.
Now there's a new generation of jazz collectors who've
arrived on the "scene", and their interest in jazz vinyl is as healthy
and strong as all those who've preceded them. So we've
organized the content of The JazzRecordScene into a distinct and
unique display of real records with real music in the grooves.
Just in the last few monthes we've listed over 1000 new
titles to the growing library of swinging sounds, and in awareness
that the disposable income budget isn't what it used to be for
some fans, we're also creating a huge new mark down section of
great records, that we're making more affordable today (see New
August Mark Downs).
Note that JazzRecordScene never carried through on the 7 day auction policy due to lack of traffic on a private site. Our policy now is to set a market price for auction items that are negotiated for a quick or immediate sale based on known industry wide trends, or the phrase "mark to market" may fit.
To begin browsing, click the Search Button. At the top left column you'll find "Browse by Artist"; below that are the individual categories related to styles and schools, and the individual instrument categories. This is also where you will find all the new additions, for example "New July Additions". You can also search by price range,
and search by label (all the items on Blue Note would come
up in page form). The right hand columns offer grading information.
Or you can just look at the records, page by page. Finally, each record sold gets a Detailed Inspection, Professional Custom Cleaning, and Audio Review, whenever necessary.
We have a fair and open minded return policy on items not as described, due to the difficulty of returning items,
sometimes a credit adjustment is the best solution.
Enjoy the music, Jeff Barr, "The Vinyl Merchant of
Jazzville"
